"Raul Cortez - the best known Brazilian actor in
Portugal - is a captivating performer. Few can produce the profound, melancholy voice of
Pessoa in the way he does, but he uses it, takes advantage of it to leap into Lorca and
make it his celebration as well. He is an idiosyncratic actor, who is not pushed along by
the contemporary voice and reacts so powerfully to what affects him.

world: Portugal and Spain. The focus is the dramatic presentation of the poetry of
Fernando Pessoa and Federico Garcia Lorca, two of our greatest poets, whose works are the
concentration of the cultural, mythical and poetic legacy of the peoples who discovered

our Iberian nation: Luso, Hispanic, Moorish, Ladino and Latin. We must hear them, speak
them and recreate them: on stage."
