Co-production Compagnia Teatrale di Giorgio Barberio Corsetti, Teatro Biondo Stabile di Palermo for Festival di Palermo sul Novecento Fondazione Teatro Stabile dell'Umbria (Italy)

Performed in Italian with Portuguese subtitles

Approximate length: 40 minutes (no interval)

In this brief homage to the poetic world of Kafka, the fragmented and unperformable writing of the Diaries and the Letter to Felice becomes thought and body, transformed into gestural image. The title L'Altro Processo comes from the homonymous essay by Elias Canetti which was Corsetti's key to the construction of Il Processo which is also in the festival. A unique opportunity to see Corsetti the actor.

"It is an extremely beautiful image, tied to a dream Kafka had when he was writing America and that was later linked to the beginning of the book itself: when Karl arrives at the port of New York, he has the impression that there are corpses floating in the sea. They surface and are then covered by the waves. Kafka's characters are like that, they surface and then disappear into the vast sea of the unconscious."
Giorgio Barberio Corsetti
